Miracle Drug

In today's world we often hear the word "healing",  it comes from many different angles. We have psychologists, doctors, therapists, spa treatments, medications for pretty much everything.  If you feel anxious, take a Xanax, if you're feeling down take Zoloft. Can't work or study...here try some Ridilan.  Feeling pain? Why not take a Codeine or Vicodin? Or the best one yet...Not in the mood? How about a Viagra? Yes, we live in a controlled environment these days. We can even control our birth rate.  We have a quick fix to every small symptom we feel, but do we really have the cure?  Why are we feeling all these things?  Why do we not look deeper?

In today's world we want more and we want it ASAP.  We want a nicer car, a better body, a bigger house, more affluent friends, connections, we want fame, fortune, and we want it now!

What if we told you...NO!

You want one thing...

TRUE LOVE!

The lie is...that all these things will promise you true love one day.  All of these things will sustain true love.  The truth is, none of them will.  True love lies with Jesus and God.  Jesus is the miracle drug.  He loves you and therefore you must learn to love yourself.  If you do not love yourself, how can you love others?  Do you truly love yourself?  Think about it?  If you truly loved yourself for who God created you to be...would you need anything? True love takes the ultimate forms of trust and surrender.  How do we surrender to love when we are still trying to control our every emotion?

These are questions we all need to ask ourselves. It is true we need healing, but it is the culture and our perverted society that we need to heal and then perhaps everyone's individual healing will follow. We have been deceived, and now it will take a lot of work, a lot of sacrifice, and a lot of LOVE to raise us back up from the ashes!
